Black & White Toddler Portraits

This is my oldest son, Christian. He was born so early. He was 25 weeks early, weighed 1 lb-7 oz only. Before, the doctor told us that might not make it. It was a heartbreaking news for us that I couldn't stop crying. At 8 days old he had bleeding, it's a vein from his lungs that opened up and the blood was flowing to his heart, and that moment he needs a heart surgery right away if not we could loose him.
We did everything right at that moment to save him. They flew him by chopper to another city. There's no time to waste. By the time they arrived there, the doctor called us that they will not do the surgery that night because they bleeding stopped and little Christian was doing good. But the next day, the doctor called us again that they're going to do the surgery in few minutes since the bleeding starts again. Tears from my eyes were like flood. After two hours, the doctor called and said the baby is doing good. Thanks God, it
was a big miracle! I couldn't stop thanking God for everything He did.
At 3-months-old he had eye surgery, but it didn't scare me at all. I believed that God will make him better and God will take good care of his eye. And God answered our prayers.
Now, he is three-years-old, energetic, a happy toddler, he loves music specially christian music, he loves singing.
I will never stop thanking God for everything. Everything is possible with God!

Louisiana Swamp

These was taken in Cheniere Lake Area 4 in West Monroe, Louisiana.  It's beautiful out there, and I hope I can go back there when I'm not busy. There's so much more amazing views to capture there.
There's so much beauty in Louisiana, and taking pictures of them makes me feel so proud.... proud to share them to the world.
I'm a nature lover, and I do take pictures not based on what I see with my eyes but based on what I feel.

EYE PHOTOGRAPHY

Eyes are the window of our soul. I love doing eye photography. There's something different in each person's eyes.

I'm sure I'm going to do a lot more eye photography. The beauty of a person's eyes are so magical...well, for me.
So next time, expect to see more of my eye photography.

Releasing The Rainbow Smoke

Today, I'm doing a lot of cleaning, and dusting. While I was dusting my favorite vase an idea just popped out from my head. Well, you will see what I am talking about in this picture below.

I'm not sure how many times I messed up with this rainbow colored smoke, but slowly I made it right.
You don't need to rush to create an image the way you wanted. It's normal to messed up, but it doesn't mean you'll give up and say "forget it". For me, I messed up many times, but I'll always say to myself "okay, time to take it slowly and figure out how to correct the mistake I made with my image". It's a challenge!

Abstract Photography

I am not shooting anything outdoor that much this week. I'm actually waiting for something for my geographic shooting plan next week. Guess what??
So right now, I'm just enjoying shooting for abstract images around the house, even in the shed at the back of the house, lol.
So today, I found two interesting objects for my abstract photography.

Southern Turtle

Just another photos of the turtle that me and my husband actually saved from being run over by any vehicle on the road.
The first photo on top was when we found him crawling on road trying to cross on the other side of the road while a big dog keeps barking on him.
When I stepped out from the car to pick up this turtle, a big white dog from a house not too far from us was ready to attack me, so I went back to the car and my husband stepped out and picked up this turtle.
We brought him home with us. We put him out in my inlaws backyard where he is safe. Maybe he will find the other turtles that's in there already.

Wild Berries

My husband surprised me by taking me to one of my favorite park in West Monroe, Louisiana right after watching "Snow White and the Huntsman". We were just walking around, sightseeing, talking, shooting pictures.
When I saw these berries I can't wait to take some pictures. It's not because I love berries, but because I love nature. I like taking pictures of anything but the number one thing on my list is taking pictures of nature. I'm a nature lover!

Orange Creature

I don't know what's the name of this creature. It looks like an Aphid but not sure if it is one. The last time I saw an Aphid it was  a green one.
Let me say today, I'm a little lazy to do a little search about this creature.

Saving The Light

As of today, I really wanna create something different and the first two things that came to my head are hands and light. I was thinking about making the  hands look  more greasy to  give it an extra-ordinary look.
I have a lot of ideas on my head right now, and I'm so excited to shoot more next week. Looking forward to use my new camera..oh my, I can't wait!
Not just that, I'm working on some props. This is gonna be exciting! Love to share something and make a story through photography.

Little Hands Touch

My second miracle's little hands. He was born 3 lbs-12 oz., and now he just turned one-year-old. Thanks God, he is so healthy, a good eater, and so adorable.
I'm so thankful to God for giving me the kind of family that I prayed for, and giving me such wonderful, miracle boys, and a very loving husband.

God Bless America!

So many things going on right now, a lot of terrible things happening everywhere in the country. Economic crisis on daily basis. And there are so much more to talk about.
We need to pray for this country! That's all I can say.

Bird House In Dreamland

I've been thinking all day to create something different. I'd like to go somewhere quiet, and far from the city. Well, can't go anywhere right now, my car have a problem. My car have problem but it doesn't mean that my passion in shooting images would be a problem co'z it's not.
Now, this is the first time that I've seen a birds house way opposite to my expectation. Well, now I realized that not all birds house are pretty like I always think of. These birds houses are just simple wood nailed together with a very long, big nails. These birds houses are located in my inlaws backyard.  At first, I was laughing about it, but after I shoot and reviewed the images I think I got an idea.
I always want these images to look more dreamy, and full of life. I did a little burning, painting, coloring, and lightning effects on these images to make them look they way I wanted.
Well, I hope you will them too.

Well, this is my feet. LOL! My husband surprised me by taking me to the park after watching the movie "Snow White and the Huntsman". I was wearing high heels so I don't  think I can walk around the park (big park) wearing them.
I took my high heels off and start walking around barefoot, ouch! The ground is so hot! These tiny gravels are hurting my feet. Joggers were actually looking at me, I don't care what they were thinking. Well, not too long we got lost and looking for the way out. I can't walk anymore so my husband had to carry me on his back like a little girl. LOL!

Balancing Love and Truth

Time to have a little break from my boys. My husband took me to Tinseltown ( movie theater) to watch Snow White And The Huntsman (love this movie). While he was buying tickets I was just looking around the parking lot to see if there's anything interesting. Well, for me there were a lot of  interesting views to shoot, but this one captured my attention the most.
I was thinking of something illustrational or it can be inspirational, so, while I was staring at this light post I was thinking "what can I do with that?" but, I shoot it anyway.
When we got back home, it's time for me to review the images I took. While viewing on this light post...the idea just came into my head. And this is it now.
I hope this will give inspiration to everybody that Love and Truth should always be balance.
